About the Position: This is an Administrative Support Assistant position with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District, Engineering and Construction Division, Design Branch. This position is located in Little Rock, AR. This position may be filled at the GS-06 with promotion potential to the GS-07 or may be filled at the full performance level of GS-07. Promotion is at discretion of management.

Duties

Perform a wide variety of duties to support the administrative functions of the office. Review property records to ensure records are accurate and adequate. Maintain inventory of general office supplies. Utilize automated equipment to include a variety of software programs. Serve as the Training Coordinator for the office to include submitting training requests for employees. Prepare travel orders and travel vouchers for supported employees. Serve as timekeeper for branch ensuring timecards are timely and accurate. Administer purchases as a Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder.

Specialized Experience for GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes at least 2 out of the following 3 duties: 1) arrange training for an organization to include preparing training requests OR 2) managing property book records to include tracking hand receipts to ensure records are accurate OR 3) performing administrative support duties for an office such as timekeeping and coordinating travel arrangements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Specialized Experience for GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal Service performing 2 out of 3 of the following duties: 1) Preparing purchase request for utilization of vehicles to include managing vehicle logs OR 2) administering purchases using the Government Purchase Card (GPC) or similar card to procure supplies, equipment and services. OR 3) performing administrative support duties for an office to include preparing travel vouchers and order requests, property record management and training coordination. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
