Duties
Being responsible for coordinating operation of aircraft in Atlantic Area by providing policy and resource guidance to Districts and direct reporting units. The primary purpose of the position is to manage resource plans, oversee policy and guidance development, and develop/review concepts of operations; support development and operation of aviation support for all Coast Guard missions; provide recognized expertise regarding tactical aviation operations; and perform similar oversight functions for related emerging tactical aviation programs.

- This position requires a Secret clearance.
Qualifications
Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include: researching and analyzing administrative and/or program issues associated with aviation training programs and requirements; interpreting and applying government travel program regulations; monitoring and evaluating cost and schedule status of aviation projects or programs; controlling resources (e.g., funding, schedules, and personnel) to ensure execution of programs/projects within the time allotted for completion.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
