You will serve as a SUPERVISOR IT SPECIALIST (NETOWRK) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY/SPAWAR SYSTEMS COMMAND of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
Duties
You will serve as the Head of the Tactical Compute Networks Integration and Test Branch in the Tactical Networks Division, NIWC Pacific, Code 55133.
You will design the cyber architectures addressing DOD requirements, variable bandwidth application distribution, communications to the tactical edge, and Cloud implementation to ensure Information Warfare dominance through secure, reliable networks.
You will collaborate with other branches and teams across the Center to grow and diversify the customer base within the division's three major business areas; Network Analysis, Network Design and Architectures, and Network Integration and Test.
You will coordinate with the Department Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) and Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to manage the Quality Assurance of the projects within the Branch by helping the PMs and QA practitioners to formulate and execute their QA plans.
You will act as a mentor to develop subordinate supervisors; actively support EEO programs and demonstrate a commitment to EEO principles and policies; comply with ongoing special emphasis programs in such areas as the internal management.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 671 level ADVANCED within 12 months of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or Assist in Performing work that would require knowledge of the Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES) and/or providing integration support to the Afloat Local Networks, such as the Application Integration (AI) into the CANES and Legacy Networks Tactical Programs.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Education
Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
