About the Position: This announcement is for a Budget Analyst position with the U.S Army Sustainment Command 406th Army Field Support Brigade located at Fort Stewart GA.

Duties

Serves as the primary General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) user for the Logistic Readiness Center (LRC) and acts as the coordinator for training and access to GFEBS. Interprets budget policies, directives, and regulations received from higher headquarters to prepare local implementing instructions. Analyzes program and budget guidance and instructions from higher headquarters to determine impact on local operations. Manages the organization’s Defense Travel Service (DTS) accounts.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 10% of the time.
• Incumbent must obtain and maintain the Financial Management Level 2 Certification.
• Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret background check.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Finance or Accounting. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
