You will serve as a STAFF MANAGEMENT ANALYST for Management Systems under the PEO FOR TACT A/C.

Duties

You will initiate, plan, and conduct comprehensive studies and reviews of subjects that are several organizational levels in depth. You will improve overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's management. You will participate in high level management meetings as an authoritative representative of the command's top management, regarding cognizant areas. You will plan and establish methods for acquiring the type of information needed to ensure the organization's management programs are improved. You will provide a wide range of substantive oral and written presentations and reports to high level officials, military and civilian, both within and outside the Navy Department. You will analyze, evaluate, plan for and process work requirements in relation to civilian personnel management.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Providing necessary and appropriate coordination among staff and senior level personnel for the long-range planning and development of organizational strategies to meet objectives and mission; 2.) Using expert skills to study work methods, administrative guidelines, procedures, utilization of human resources, work assignments, management controls, information and personnel systems, etc.; 3.) Analyzing and evaluating findings and recommending more efficient, effective and economical ways to meet workload and program goals; 4.) Contributing management-oriented expertise during discussions of innovative ways to carry out assigned programs, new programs, etc.; 5.) Providing expert advice on personnel, administrative and management policy.; 6.) Identifying and proposing solutions to management problems characterized by their breadth, importance, and severity. 7.) Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
