About the Position: This is a permanent position.in Fort Knox, Kentucky with the 3rd BDE .U.S. Army Recruiting Command.

Duties

Act as logistics advisor to brigade command group. As S-4 Division Chief, incumbent directs daily operations of 2 civilian subordinates (GS-11 and GS-09 or equivalent). Serve as BDE representative at meetings of Intra and Inter-Service Recruiting Committees. Provide logistics guidance to train personnel on logistic processes. Plan actions concerning new construction, acquisition, renovation, design, upkeep, and lease specifications of real estate. Direct logistics inspection programs ensuring resolution of problems, and compliance with policies and procedures. Interpret directives from higher leadership to determine how logistics operations will be affected. Assist in obtaining equipment, supplies, and services for the organizational logistic needs Maintain databases for operating and maintenance cost of vehicles. Initiate requests for personnel actions to manage employees..

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance level.
  • You may be expected to travel up to 25% of the time for this position.
