You will serve as the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Combat System Hardware (CSHW) Technical Team Lead in the NETWORK & DIGITAL SYSTEM SUSTAINMENT DIVISION, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in San Diego, CA.

Duties

You will have overall insight into the development and management of business and engineering processes, policies, procedures, products, and operational schedules necessary for the execution of assigned projects. You will demonstrate knowledge of resource planning and management and the ability to deal with project and program execution concepts. You will manage, coordinate, provide program planning, and technical direction for the LCS CSHW program, including operations, testing, configuration management, cybersecurity, deployment, modernization, and maintenance. You will provide technical leadership, planning, guidance, and coordination for work group efforts in support of the Program; assign tasks, provide oversight of work, and resolve conflicts. You will manage and coordinate the technical functions for the CSHW system, including the program definitions, design approaches, testing, configuration management, deployment, and maintenance. You will serve as an expert in the areas of hardware and networking architectures as well as software and hardware testing and troubleshooting.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain/maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Network Operations Specialist level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning and managing IT project resources to support the design, development, testing, or modernization of Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Combat System Hardware (CSHW).
