This position is in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington, DC, in the Bureau for Resilience, Environment and Food Security, at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Duties
Serves as a technical resource, advising Bureau senior management on strategies and implementation related to Bureau staffing and workforce planning, as well as a broad range of logistics and management operations activities.
Develops and manages systems to approve and account for the status of all Bureau positions and personnel, as well as all current status updates for management and operations matters, to report to senior management accordingly.
Exercises the supervisory authorities in the Office of Administrative Management Services necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
Plans for and provides a wide range of liaison services to support human resources, administrative, and logistical activities of a complex or specialized nature.
Provides authoritative guidance and leadership to special projects and programs impacting one or several major agency organizations.
Requirements

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
GS-15: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position includes: (a) independently planning and carrying out projects and actions in various administrative management areas, such as human resources, IT and device management, space planning and management, records management, purchase card oversight, budget; (b) developing long-range program plans, goals, objectives, or milestones to evaluate the effectiveness of procedures and programs; (c) identifying and developing ways to resolve problems or cope with issues that directly affect the accomplishment of an agency's program goals or objectives; and (d) experience in business process mapping and establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for routine human resources and administrative management processes, to enhance the customer service experience for an organization.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience relevant to the position's duties to be filled, including volunteer experience.
