This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. Positions in the Cyber Excepted Service are positions necessary to carry out and support the mission of the United States Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - JFHQ - DODIN.
Duties
Develop plans using forces and resources apportioned and allocated within the Global Force Management Implementation Guidance (GFMIG).
Manage and implement the adaptive planning process from strategic guidance to completion of each of the four levels of planning details for contingency plans which include Commanders Estimate, Base Plan, Concept Plan, and Operation Plan.
Prepare associated planning products for each level, including Course of Action briefings, command directives, or memorandums, development of mission analysis, new concepts, decision papers, staff studies, authoritative recommendations.
Oversee the development of contingency plans and participates in the crisis action planning process.
Provide technical and analytical principles in the preparation of plans, formulation of cyberspace operational/cyberspace warfare (CO/CW) doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This position require TS/SS security clearance.
- This is a Drug Testing designated position.
- This is a Mission Essential Position - the incumbent may also be required to physically report to an alternate duty station during the activation of a Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan.
- Incumbent is subject to recall or call back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management.

Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in Cyber Operations planning which includes defining and integrating current and future mission environments along with assessing and collaborating policy needs governing cyber activities. Experience in designing/integrating a cyber strategy to develop strategic plans and program management.

Education
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GG-13 grade level.
