This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS.. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS, FORCE PROJECTION.

Duties

Assists in coordinating a wide variety of projects and taskings relating acquisition programs to the different functions in the life cycle phases. Works in concert with senior technical personnel in the formulation of the PM's position on program planning. Assists in the review and evaluation of program management data elements. Provides management information, advice, and assistance to senior technical personnel on any programs/ projects assigned. Analyzes information and data; assesses progresses of programs, projects, and processes. Organizes, manages, and presents information to include recommendations both formally and informally via oral and written communication methods. Prepares decision papers, documents, and reports.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 10% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (A) Program Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. **Experience Requirements** Gerneral Experience: three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to the NH-01 level, which includes: 1) Providing results to senior personnel on a variety of tasks, relevant to PM plans and objectives; 2) Reviewing data and making recommendations to management; and 3) Preparing papers, documents, and reports for programs. OR Education: Have successfully completed a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: Have the general experience as described in A, but less than three years; and I have some education as described in B, but less than the required four years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 36. Then, divide your semester hours of education by 120. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) The definition of experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-01 (or GS-04 equivalent).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
