About the Position: Primary planner responsible for coordination with Rotational Training Units, NTC Operations Group, and all Fort Irwin Installation commands to design, synchronize, and coordinate 19-day Decisive Action (DA) Exercises.
Duties
Operate various office automation systems to create reports, plans, briefings, doctrinal, tactical, operational, and strategic documents.
Maintain a continuous dialogue with peer elements, G3 staff planners and Forces Command (FORSCOM) planners to identify and resolve systemic mission planning problems and shortfalls.
Produce doctrinal, tactical, operational, and strategic documents for the planning and execution of an integrated multi-echelon joint combined or coalition operation.
Develop Operation Orders (OPORDs) and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGORDs) to disseminate information to rotational units reporting for training.
Develop plans (short/long range and strategic), policies and programs consistent with a military command or large organization's mission/operations plans, goals and guidance.
Coordinate a combined-arms joint staff for all pre-rotational, rotational, and post-rotational activities for the conduct of a rotation.
Requirements
