About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Recommend process changes to correct and improve product quality and customer satisfaction. Implement the Customer Satisfaction, Lean, or Six Sigma Program, which is of critical importance to the success of the core missions of the Anniston Army Depot. Review prep work, work in progress, and final work for completeness and accuracy on all events/projects. Maintain and coordinate events and briefs supervisor for recommendations and status. Perform duties to organize, coordinate, and meet with various teams to implement plans.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes mplementation of innovated productivity improvement tools, such as Lean Thinking and Six Sigma Program. Conducts Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) applies Process Optimizations Initiatives (POI) and focuses on identifying process problems while documenting valid/tangible savings. Serves as consultant and technical expert on all aspects of process improvement functions including lean initiatives and Rapid Improvement Events. Implement lean/six sigma performance goals (a defect free product, one by one process and operating at the lowest cost for the product). Plans and accomplishes studies of industrial type processes to improve productivity through application of process optimization methodologies. A complete knowledge and skill in quality and manufacturing is applied towards continuously improving the effectiveness of the installations multi-production operation.
