About the Position: Serves as training instructor and participates in course development. Responsible for both pre-instructional and instructional actions including overall maintenance and improvement of assigned course areas of advanced supply, property, and material management.
Duties
Model and coach effective standards-based instruction and assessment
Instruct complete courses in basic, advanced, and applied theoretical principles and techniques of advanced supply, property, and material management while keeping abreast of continuing state of the art changes.
Follow approved plans to ensure course material is properly delivered to participants.
Conduct class orientation to acquaint students with course of instruction, training objectives, standards, and policies.
Prepare written correspondence using office automation systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and maintain while in the position.
- Requires a pre-employment physical and the maintenance of the level of physical fitness in order to obtain and maintain employment as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 44 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- Requires a pre-employment drug screening and random testing thereafter in order to obtain and maintain employment in this position.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel required up to 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience consisting of course instruction centered on military logistics, specifically, Plant Maintenance and motor pool operations, and Supply Support Activity (SSA) and warehouse operations. Must have thorough operator-level knowledge of the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) system's plant maintenance, warehouse, and material management modules. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Must provide transcripts)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18.
