The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the administrative support specialist and the civilian personnel liaison for the Personnel Recovery Academy (PRA) in a developmental capacity, performing assignments designed to further develop applicable analytical and evaluative skills and techniques.
Duties
DUTY 1: In a developmental capacity, assists in the management of day-to-day administrative activities for the PRA Commander and staff.
DUTY 2: In a developmental capacity, serves as the civilian personnel liaison with the headquarters Joint Personnel Recovery Agency.
DUTY 3: In a developmental capacity, manages the Commander's civilian and military quarterly/annual awards program and serves as training coordinator.
DUTY 4: In a developmental capacity, works closely with and under oversight of higher-graded specialist to provide protocol support, guidance, and assistance to the divisions with regard to official functions, visits, conferences, award and other protocol related functions.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated critical-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

Qualifications
This is a GG-07t11 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07t11 duties for the "Administrative and Management" work category are at the "Entry/Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07t11 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the 07t11 grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include having practical knowledge of basic administrative information management office practices, techniques, and procedures. Incumbent must be able to use basic knowledge of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) regulations, practices, and policies; knowledge of basic pay, overtime, and leave entitlements and pay and leave laws and regulations; and federal HR functions, theories, and techniques, and the basic relationships of the various HR disciplines. Assignment requires knowledge of organization, mission, procedures, and operations of the Personnel Recovery Academy and the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency. Duties require the knowledge of general administrative processes related to preparing correspondence, files maintenance, and basic protocol practices and guidelines. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
This position is a developmental position and will be filled at the GG-07 level with promotion potential to the GG-11. The individual selected for this position may be promoted to the target level without further competition upon meeting any legal and regulatory requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of basic administrative information management office practices, techniques, procedures, and general protocol guidelines.
Basic knowledge of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) regulations, practices, and policies.
Knowledge of basic pay, overtime, and leave entitlements and pay and leave laws and regulations; and federal HR functions, theories, and techniques, and the basic relationships of the various HR disciplines.
Skill in applying basic principles, concepts, and practices of the occupation sufficient to perform entry-level assignments in administrative support.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing factual and procedural information clearly; and to consult effectively with coworkers.
Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
