You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Branch of the Mission Systems Group (MSG) Logistics Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will provide acquisition logistics guidance to all designated activities and personnel who support the NAVAIR METCAL Program.
You will develop and implement policies, control and operating procedures for all aspects of METCAL ILS.
You will oversee all acquisition logistics activities associated with metrology and calibration maintenance support development and implementation.
You will manage cost, schedule and performance of METCAL Milestone execution related to common and peculiar Support Equipment, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and CALSTD acquisition.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing project/program requirements, objectives, and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 2) Providing acquisition logistics guidance to all designated activities and personnel that supports the program; 3) Advising management and colleagues on difficult issues; 4) Synthesizing critical information and special studies, proposing options and alternatives to support effective resolution; and 5) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities.
