This position serves as a Deputy Branch Chief for the Information Services Branch in the Information Data and Analytics (IDAS) Service Line in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This is a supervisory role over Records Management, Forms, and Scientific and Technical Information functions and services provided to mission and mission support organizations across the Agency.
Duties
Provide supervisory direction and lead people, change, service enablement, modernization and professional development strategies to ensure the continual growth of employees in the branch.
Exercise authority in information service planning, budgeting, support systems, resources and technologies that produces benefits to Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and the Enterprise.
Develop and implement project management procedures, tools, templates, activities, and infrastructure to align internal business practices, Federal regulations and policies. Anticipate, manage, monitor, and mitigate risks for Information Services.
Provide leadership and direction for Information services delivery continual improvement for the Enterprise. Serve as lead expert on the development and implementation of information operations and integrate mission and mission support requirements.
Manage the team in assessing, improving, developing and maintaining cross-functional integration and standardization Records Management, Scientific Technical Information, and Forms Service Delivery processes and practices.
Oversee strategic and operational activities and ensure deliverables are of high quality, timely and accurate. Develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status and staffing reports, and correspondence to leadership.
Support the development of goals, objectives, policies, plans, procedures, and standards for Information Services.
Champion change for the Information, Data, and Analytics Service Line (IDAS) organization, both within the team and with our stakeholders and customers.
Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

Requirements
- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

- Duty location will be determined upon selection and will be at one of the locations listed on the announcement. Selectee(s) will be required to work onsite at the duty location selected.
- This position may require a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Leading or supervising a team of IT specialists on a variety of areas for a project or program;
Leading or supervising a team of IT specialists on a variety of areas for a project or program;
Utilizing IT Service Management (ITSM), NASA's project management 7120 process, Agency Roadmap process, risk management, and implementing of IT modernization strategies;
Creating statements of work, work packages, and work breakdown structures as they relate to information services.
AND
IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
