About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Human Resources (DHR) - Military Personnel Division, Fort Campbell, KY
Duties
Serve as a Technical expert on the preparation and processing of Military Separation/Retirement documents, In/Out Processing documents, and military personnel record updates.
Monitor military personnel action requests from individual Soldiers and units and submits request to appropriate personnel for completion.
Serve as the Installation clearance liaison for all Soldiers on permanent change of station (PCS) assignment, expiration term of service (ETS), separation and retirement actions.
Review appropriate military personnel documents for Soldiers within system database on a regular basis.
Responsible for the accuracy, operation, and interface of a variety of automated systems supporting military personnel functions and operations.
Provide support in the development and execution of plans for various military personnel processing sections.
Provide assistance and advice to individuals and organizations regarding military separation and personnel record updates.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is designated non-critical sensitive and requires a Secret security clearance.

(1) Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs MAY be authorized (mandatory for all permanent GS-13 and above positions and encouraged for all supervisory positions).

Specialized Experience for the GS-07 grade level: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) Utilizing automated military personnel data systems to track, update, and complete military members records and personnel actions; 2) Identifying and resolving discrepancies in military personnel actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education for the GS-07 grade level: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience for the GS-07 grade level: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
