The primary purpose of this position is to provide manage of the Air Force Shelf Life Extension Program, provide readiness Supply Chain analysis, Medical Material Quality Control (MMQC) and Defense Logistic Agency (DLA) Recalls, and oversees Security operations for Air Force Medical Operations Agency (AFMOA).
Duties
Performs research and provides recommendations to resolve contingency support problems.
Primary responsibility is to serve as Air Force program manager for the $96M Department of Defense/Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Shelf Life Extension Program (SLEP).
Performs analysis of medical indust1y product and Department of Defense (DoD) contract changes the effected AF Allowance Standard/Unit Type Code requirements.
Oversees Security Operations for Air Force Medical Logistics Operations Center and includes supporting Isolated personnel report (ISOPREP) updates for unit personnel.

- May be required to participate in contingency situations, real world and exercise, as directed.
- The work will require the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions for Supply Program Management Series, 2003.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of logistical functions, operations, systems, program requirements, and work methods. Knowledge of Defense Logistic Agency (DLA) and Air Force (AF) Quality Assurance Recall and Medical Material Quality Control (MMQC) process. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, practices and procedures.

EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of logistical functions, operations, systems, program requirements, and work methods. Knowledge of DLA and Air Force (AF) Quality Assurance Recall and MMQC process.
Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve issues and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, practices and procedures.
Ability to plan, organizes, coordinate, and direct the functions of an Air Force level programs and recalls.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material such as regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc, to accomplish tasks and resolve problems.
Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods to include requisitioning, requirements, equipment management, inspection activities, demand processing, records maintenance, and customer service.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
