You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the COMMANDER FLEET READINESS CENTERS, STRATEGIC GROUP of COMFLTREADCEN.

Duties

You will to form and maintain relationships with others. You will gather, organize, and prepare information for written and verbal communication. You will to convey written information in a clear and organized manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. You will use job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: Supporting Centralized Coordination Office (CCO) Group leadership in all facets of strategic and operations planning and analytical support to complete tasks such as internal and external actions and requests for information, briefs, audits, responses, reports, directives, and data calls; Identifying and analyze problems, determine relevance and accuracy of information, evaluate solutions, and develop and present findings, reports, or recommendations to support management decision-making; Understanding, maintaining, and reporting on P2P metrics that are aligned to the CCO metrics to standardize metrics to ensure message consistency and common operational objectives throughout the command; Interpreting goals and objectives initiated at higher levels and ensuring they are reflected in assigned policy, programs, projects, and initiatives; and Formulating short and long-term strategies that take a broad view and achieve significant results to ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated and integrated into the department's staffing strategies, policies, organizational structures, work plans, work products, and services.
