Duties
Serves as an IT Project Manager and Technical Advisor in DLA Information Operations (J6).
Develops IT service transition and application hosting plans and activities across Enterprise Service areas.
Manages information systems projects throughout the system’s lifecycle.
Responsible for overseeing the management of the project scope.
Evaluates and plans programs through consideration of all legal authorities.
Participates in the development of policies and plans.
Develops a detailed integration strategy and timelines to include identifying functional and operational requirements.
Assists in establishing immediate and long-term DoD goals, objectives, and plans.

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Project Manager (PLCYPLN), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after- competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
-Mastery of principles, concepts, standards, and practices associated with the life cycle management of logistics systems to enable the development of both new technical and functional capabilities.
-Skill in oral and written communications to present sensitive recommendations to higher authority,represent DLA and DoD information systems issues, lead and participate in Agency program teams,provide presentations at Government and industry workshops, seminars, etc., and provide guidancewithin the Agency.
-Applies qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment of issues, development of solutions, and removal of impediments to the completion of a comprehensive project, systems development management and/or systems maintenance strategic plan(s).
B. Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience.
