You will serve as a Lead Management Analyst in the Mechanical Instrumentation Branch; Mechanical Fabrication and Integration Section of the Aircraft Instrumentation Division; Prototyping, Instrumentation, and Experimentation (PIE) Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will function as a subject matter expert in aircraft instrumentation systems with particular emphasis on the effectiveness and execution of branch management processes and operations. You will use management and planning skills to develop long range plans and strategies to accomplish program objectives. You will apply extensive working knowledge of mechanical design, installation, implementation, and support of aircraft instrumentation. You will interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints of various formats, and inspect various components to given tolerances and call outs provided on these documents. You will oversee the day-to-day integration planning, operation, and problem solving so organization can meet its required level of service or production. You will be responsible for distributing and balancing the workload among employees in accordance with job specialization, while ensuring timely accomplishment of all assigned work. You will use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop CAD model parts, assemblies, and drawings. You will serve as a liaison to stakeholders to ensure that program needs are addressed and goals are met. You will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience includes: (1) Demonstrating working knowledge of mechanical design and integration methods of flight instrumentation on a major aircraft; (2 Utilizing management processes and procedures as well as planning skills to develop long range plans and strategies to accomplish program objectives; (3) Leading other personnel and/or a team of experts to negotiate and execute organizational projects while resolving conflicts with customer and established organizational policies; (4) Interpreting mechanical design intent, manufacturing methods, techniques, and procedures related to aircraft instrumentation systems; (5) Using computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop CAD model parts, assemblies, and drawings; (6) Distributing and balancing workload among employees in accordance with job specialization and to assure timely accomplishment of all assigned work; and (6) Functioning as a liaison to stakeholders to ensure that program needs are addressed and goals are met.
