Duties

Represents Director of Training and Doctrine at conferences and in decision-making meetings. Plans, assigns and supervises work of the Branch by accomplishing management and administrative functions. Provides technical advice and assistance to the Chief, Special Forces, Training Division, Special Forces Proponent Managers Office

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
  • Position requires a Drug Test.
  • TDY travel is occasionally required 5%.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing day-to-day operations of a training development branch within Special Forces Proponent Managers Office, reviewing and coordinating all activities of the branch: evaluating assigned projects with subordinate action officers to ensure understanding of requirements and plans. Planning, assigning and supervising work of the Branch by accomplishing management and administrative functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision MakingEducation / Training Program AdministrationTechnical CompetenceTraining and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
