About the Position: You will serve as Project Delivery Section Chief and works under the general administrative direction of and verbal instructions from the Chief, Programs and Project Delivery Branch. This position is located in Nashville, Tenn.
Duties
Assign work and establishes requirements, objectives, goals and milestones for completion.
Plan and schedule work to be accomplished by the Section and coordinates work of employees.
Develop performance standards and evaluates performance of staff.
Serve as Program Manager, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
Monitor Project Delivery Section project and program progress, evaluates performance, determines causes for deviations from schedules, and coordinates with program managers and project managers.
Direct preparation, approval, and updates of Project Management Plans for all active projects in the district, which become the blueprint for carrying out the district's civil works program.
Oversee review of all documents for consistency with Management Plans and assures that such documents are reviewed by the customer.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
- Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 1 year by a current Army employee. Temporary promotions/reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
- This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
- You may be required to have a 1 year probationary period for supervisor.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes serving as Project Manager, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects; leading the project delivery team leader, implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and products in support of the projects; and planning work schedules and operation sequences to assure an even flow and distribution of work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)
