About the Position: Serves as the Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS), at Fort Hunter Liggett developing and executing all plans essential for the accomplishment of airfield operations.
Duties
Execute Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) operations through long range program planning in support of garrison/tenant units; and mobilization and contingency planning in support of military training and mobilization.
Execute the military training program and Execute the garrison mobilization mission.
Direct special programs such as: personnel security, intelligence and counter intelligence programs.
Oversee and manage the installation's deployment operations, deployment facilities, and training platform.
Plan, organize and direct the safeguard of classified information, equipment and material on the installation.
Determines resource needs and allocation of resources and accounts for their effective use.
Develops and executes contingency plans necessary for rapid reaction to domestic emergencies.
Requirements
- his position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing and executing military training programs to include range operations and training support services; developing and executing military contingency plans; developing plans and programs to respond to domestic and national disasters; developing program goals and objectives; managing personnel, informational and industrial security programs; performing short term and long range planning; exercising authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds in an organization's budget. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-13).
