Duties

You will conduct special studies, analyses, evaluations and investigations of interdepartmental operations. You will develop recommendations for improvements in management practices and procedures to increase efficiency and economy. You will conduct operational studies for compliance with directives, regulatory, and administrative requirements. You will develop reports explaining program differences and recommend improvements to program operations. You will follow-up on recommendations to internal and external organizations to insure action taken have corrected deficiencies. You will assemble, write, and edit reports prior to submission. You will provide technical assistance in interpreting financial and administrative directives and associated regulatory material. You will prepare and/or present formal briefings at meetings and other gatherings. You will develop and present training sessions designed to make evaluators or reviewers of subject matter experts, teaching sampling techniques, and defining report content and emphasis. You will continually review a constant flow of information from prior internal reviews, external data from other activities, commercial publications, other government agencies, etc.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting studies of interdepartmental operations and providing recommendations for improvements in management practices or procedures to increase organizational finances and efficiency.
