You will serve as a Secretary (OA) in the STRATEGIC SYSTEMS DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION DIVISION; STRATEGIC & COMPUTING SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. If selected, you will provide clerical and administrative support to the Division Head and Division personnel.
Duties
You will be responsible for routine administrative and miscellaneous clerical work associated with managing the office and will resolve related problems.
You will respond to routine and non-routine requests for information.
You will maintain the supervisor’s calendar.
You will compose routine and other correspondence as outlined in regulations and procedures.
You will receive mail for the office and make appropriate determinations for distribution or for supervisor’s attention.
You will review outgoing mail for completeness.
You will maintain suspense records and ensure timely reply or action.
You will keep abreast of current/changing administrative practices and clerical procedures associated with maintaining the office.
You will prepare inventory of documents within the office.
You will assemble, prepare, and submit in final forms all types of documentation and forms.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing clerical, administrative, or secretarial support for an office or organization. Examples of qualifying experience may include: preparing correspondence and other documents; coordinating meetings; maintaining the status of action items; scheduling appointments; screening calls or visitors; maintaining records or files; entering data into electronic systems or spreadsheets to support travel, timekeeping, or procurement.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
