About the Position: Position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion or Detail not to exceed 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary Promotions or Details may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years and may be made permanent without further competition. Position may be filled as a Temporary Appointment not to exceed 1 year, if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary Appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.

Duties

Design and development of mechanical components used in overhaul. Resolve any technical issues that arise that hinder production schedules. Assist professional engineers or work independently developing sound engineering designs. Review and analyze all technical information to determine most practical and economic methods of fabrication, modification, and assembly necessary to complete assigned overhaul projects.

Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Business travel up to 25%.

OR Combination of Education and Specialized Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 6. Then divide your semester hours of education by 30. Add the two percentages.
