About the Position: This position serves as the Product Lead Electronic Attack (PL EA) within Project Manager Electronic Warfare and Cyber organization under PEO IEW&S at duty station Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. PL EA is responsible for equipping the force with ground and air electronic attack capabilities.

Duties

Serves as Supervisory Product Lead for assigned Acquisition system and/or related acquisition program. Manages a government team consisting of assigned civilian and military personnel, matrix and support civilian and military personnel, and the efforts of supporting contractor teams. Maintains continuous liaison and monitors collaborative planning with pertinent military users, DA staff and other agencies to render advice and counsel on assigned management activities. Oversees POM planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight. Serves as advisor to officials with broader and higher responsibilities on status of project, progress made, projected future plans, and problems. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities and scheduling completion, assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, evaluates work, gives advice, counsel and/or instruction to subordinates. Identifies training needs for subordinates and find ways to improve production and promote team building.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). The Army Acquisition Executive (AAE) has identified this position to be an Army Acquisition Corps (AAC) critical position.
  • This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • Advanced: This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for (Business Financial Management) certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with sensitive compartmental information or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
