You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Readiness Programs Branch of the Operation and Maintenance, Navy Division (SEA 0141); Comptroller Directorate (SEA 01) of NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Duties
You will perform or advises on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will formulate the budget and cost estimates, including presenting and defending budget estimates, review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will analyze and recommend cost and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
You will interpret, assess, and project the potential impact of new and revised Congressional legislation.
You will utilize financial management systems and interpret data to make recommendations.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (or GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing financial management analysis (e.g., budget formulation, evaluating budget requests, monitoring obligations and expenditures, or interpreting budgetary policies and practices) for an organization.
