Duties

You will advise on or resolving difficult factual, procedural or recurring issues. You will make informed decisions on problems and issues. You will maintenance of one-of-a-kind equipment, custom equipment, development equipment, or equipment which is continually being modified and adapted and does not usually have adequate documentation.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Explosive Qualifications Certification.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time

Qualifications

GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and take direction from qualified team leads and management. Performs the maintenance and testing required on various weapons. Performs installation, maintenance, or operation of testing duties. GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), take direction and work with minimal supervision in a team environment. Collaborates, coordinates, and communicates effectively with team members, engineers, customers and management, to assure all approved procedures for testing in the fleet and the community are followed. Lead others and review work for compliance with instructions and adequacy, judgment, and satisfaction of requirements.
