You will serve as a Business Support Specialist in the NAS Patuxent River Public Works Department of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Duties

You will analyze contractor costs (e.g., direct, indirect overhead, material, labor, production costs, general and administrative expenses) to reduce indirect costs. You will direct business process improvements in areas such as project management, financial systems, production of estimates, material procurement, personnel policies, and regional maintenance. You will analyze price or cost data to support cost-efficient acquisition goals or objectives. You will analyze variance reports to identify scheduling problems and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:1) Providing complex substantive management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual/multi-year long range fiscal planning, and development of annual work-plans; 2) Performing research tasks to obtain a variety of cost, schedule, and performance data; 3) Conducting or participating in cost comparison/benefit studies of current or projected programs; 4) Preparing detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs; 5) Providing support producing, analyzing, and tracking Departmental metrics; and 6) Responding to administrative and financial data calls. GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:1) Providing management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual/multi-year/long-range fiscal planning, and development of annual work-plan(s); 2) Conducting or participating in cost comparison/benefit studies of current or projected programs; 3) Preparing detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs; 4) Responding to administrative and financial data calls. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
