You will serve as a Program Security Manager in the Commander Security Office of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will manage Program/Project Security, integrating all security disciplines, counterintelligence, and other defensive methods to deny foreign collection efforts and prevent unauthorized disclosure. You will promote an effective and efficient Program Office security posture by providing security program leadership for Information, Personnel, Industrial, Physical, Communications and Operations Security. You will take ownership of the regulatory and statutory processes that guide and manage the entire acquisition program to an acceptable level of risk. You will coordinate, develop, review, update, staff, approve, and implement Program Protection Plans (PPP). You will conduct OPSEC, Information Security, and Information Assurance (IA) reviews as part of the Security Policy Review process for publicly releasing program information. You will independently resolve problems or issues and impacting programs that extend across the NAVAIR organization. You will meet with other experts who have a variety of viewpoints or objectives on issues of considerable consequence or importance.

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating extensive knowledge of Information, Personnel, Industrial and other traditional security disciplines, to protect classified information, material and/or equipment through the integration of all security disciplines, including counterintelligence, and other defensive methods to deny foreign collection efforts and prevent unauthorized disclosure; 2) Providing trusted influence over all program decisions where controlled unclassified, classified, and critical program information is ubiquitous; 3) Managing complex tasks and motivating personnel to plan constructive approaches to ensure information/technology protection; 4) Providing advice, guidance, and assistance to program personnel in assigning classifications decisions to project work, updating and interpreting classification guides, etc. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
