You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL/INFO SYS) in the Manpower Management Division of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will be responsible for providing a full range of programs and system analyses, process improvement initiatives, and system and policy recommendations. You will provide detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement of line program operations and utilization of manpower to improve processing time. you will advise people on the impact of new regulations and proposed changes to program operations and work to incorporate required changes into the system to lessen the impact of change on mission requirements. You will consult and coordinate with management personnel and makes recommendations designed to achieve an increase in effectiveness, efficiency and economy of operations with the mission and available manpower. You will compile performance data reports and presentations to the section and branch head to help manage and review the overall effectiveness of the automated programs. You will serve as an advisor to the section head on all matters related to Master Brief Sheet code, Relative Value, and the creation and processing of fitness reports.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector preforming a wide variety of HR military concepts, principles, laws, regulations, manpower, and practices and their interrelationships of various HR specialties as they relate to system processes/functions/capabilities and the infrastructure supporting the HR information system(s). GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector handling a wide variety of HR military concepts, principles, laws, regulations, manpower, and practices and their interrelationships of various HR specialties as they relate to system processes/functions/capabilities and the infrastructure supporting the HR information system(s). Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the GS-11 position based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:

Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

OR

Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR

OR

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
