You will serve as a Supervisory Intelligence Specialist in the Operational Intelligence Division of JIATF WEST. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

Serves as Section Chief, Targeting and Collections Cell in the Joint Interagency Task Force West (JIATF-W), Intelligence Department. Organizes, plans and directs personnel and other resources to accomplish the organization's overall intelligence analysis mission, to include planning and defending execution of the Division's budget. Provides oversight of highly complex analysis, production and dissemination of current, operational, and strategic intelligence to support Department of Defense and external agencies. Supervises a mixed workforce of military, contractors, and civilian personnel comprised of intelligence analysts. Oversees the operation and management of targeting efforts and collection management. Engages extensively with senior level peers internal/external at the local, national, and international intelligence community level to address and gain concurrence on emerging real-world developments impacting the intelligence mission.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supervising a mixed workforce of military and civilian personnel compromised of intelligence analysts; 2) Providing technical soundness of subordinate work performed through applying professional knowledge of a wide range of concepts governing assigned area(s) of responsibility and advanced knowledge of terminologies, methodologies and research; 3) Leading an agency or command division's mission to provide deep, penetrating, targeting intelligence analysis; and, 4) Leading and managing the collection management function within a task force.
