You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAIR WARFARE CENTER, A/C DIV LOGISTICS GP of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Duties
You will study results, normally serve as the basis for significant changes in both current and future development of ILS plans for Training support of similar systems throughout the components.
You will stablish, maintain liaison, and collaborate with top personnel within the competency, the system command, and industrial firms.
You will brief higher level officials within the organization and other components on Training plans and issues.
You will identify problems and develop innovative solutions.
You will approve programs; plan, present, execute budgets, analyze budget impacts on programs, and forecast long-term funding requirements.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience
Provide executive and technical direction, motivation and guidance to logistics element managers, review products; resolve or provide assistance to resolution of problems.
Distribute technical policy and procedural guidance; review major technical and engineering recommendations and decisions to determine effects on Training ILS plans and actions.
Recommend changes to the System Command Training ILS management policies and procedures and initiates actions to effectively incorporate changes into existing Navy-wide ILS program.
Plan and direct studies of current logistics operation in order to address ILS planning issues where precedents are non-existent or inadequate.
