Duties
Serves as Executive Officer to the HQ Installation Management Command (IMCOM) G9 SES level Director, Deputy Director, and G9 SGM. Plans and integrates the activities of multiple functional specialists for the Army's Soldiers, Families, Civilians and Retiree's organization. Applies managerial and functional FMWR experience to assist, facilitate, and support accomplishment of duties and responsibilities of the Director G9, Deputy Director G9, and G9 SGM. Given mission objectives by the Director, the incumbent performs daily coordination of the staff as it supports priorities of the IMCOM G9. The duties of the Executive Officer are critical to the accomplishment of the mission.
Provides guidance regarding all aspects of staff operations throughout the G9 and supports its major programs with special emphasis on the organizational component of administrative information systems management. Applies knowledge of functional policies, procedures, and techniques to develop viable programmatic options for satisfying the G9's changing needs. Continuously reviews and recommends revision to the Agency's administrative policies and standing operating procedures. Monitors the execution of major programs requiring inter-staff coordination for successful attainment of the organization's objectives.
Assists the Director G9 in planning, coordinating, and integrating activities of the IMCOM G9 to include 12 divisions and approximately 300 employees. Responsible for management oversight of all statements of policy, business processes, staffing actions and other materials prepared for the signature and information of the Director, Deputy Director and G9 SGM. Reviews staff actions to prioritize coordination, identify and include stakeholders, and ensure completeness of information for leadership decisions. Responsible for accurate content, coordination, and consistency with policy, i.e., control of administrative actions, files, routing of staff actions, calendar supervision, etc. Tasks various Groups to develop new policies and business processes in support of organizational goals. Prepares formal requests for personnel actions to fill vacancies; detail, reassign or promote employees.
Incumbent is responsible to attend and influence meetings and conferences with higher headquarters and provide weekly status updates to senior leaders in the Army Materiel Command and IMCOM routinely, as well as Army and other services' leaders.. As required, attends meetings/forums on behalf of the Director G9, Deputy Director G9, and G9 SGM. Liaises with IMCOM Command Group Executive Officers to ensure Director G9 is line with Command priorities, requirements, and Battle Rhythm events.
Stays informed of applicable, Army, AMC, and IMCOM objectives, policies, directives, procedures, and SOPs; ensures G9 leadership and staff are informed and adhere.
Coordinates with Department of the Army, Army Materiel Command and HQ IMCOM staff in support of FMWR operations.
Serves as the chairman of formal and informal committees to resolve administrative and programmatic issues of the Agency. Tasks colleagues and Groups to accomplish various actions on behalf of the Director and Deputy Director.
Establishes itineraries in conjunction with visiting dignitaries and organizations to achieve desired outcomes. . Reviews scheduled visits to ensure proper protocol is followed.
Prepares, reviews, and proofs correspondence on behalf of the Director G9, to include presentations/briefings and employee awards submissions, to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness. Provides advice, perspective, and recommendations to Director G9 pertaining to provision of Family and MWR programs and Services. Serves as the G9's primary point of contact with other military and civilian activities.
Provides a full range of supervisory duties to include employee development, performance management and evaluation, team building, conflict resolution, and employee recognition. Supervises, directs, and manages G9 Front Office Executive Assistants in support of Director G9, Deputy Director G9, and G9 SGM.
Serves as a conduit to G9 Division Chiefs and staff in communicating Director G9, Deputy Director G9 and G9 SGM intent, guidance, directives, etc. Disseminates information on behalf of the Director G9, Deputy Director G9 and G9 SGM. Manages and tracks G9 Division chief Leave and PTOs.
Servies as reviewer of G9 Division Chief Defense Travels system.
Maintains visibility on newly arriving and departing employees. Ensure Director G9 appropriately recognizes these employees.
Incumbent responsible for managing and coordinating daily operations of Director G9 to includes managing calendar to maximize available time to meet his/her requirements and has dedicated time to work his/her responsibilities, manages and controls access to Director G9, and monitors his/her email correspondence to ensure responses are provided in a timely manner.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.
Candidates must possess specialized experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level to include: Ability to interact and deal effectively with all management levels within IMCOM, DA, DoD and other federal agencies. Knowledge of protocol procedures to render proper courtesies to guests, VIPs and dignitaries.
Knowledge of operating programs and their interrelationships with one another. Skill in identifying, analyzing and developing course of action and recommendations for resolving management and administrative problems.
Knowledge of administrative concepts, principles and practices to perform independent duties to eliminate conflict and duplication in extensive office procedures, determine when new office procedures are needed, study and evaluate new office machines and recommend acceptance.
Ability to organize and communicate ideas effectively through written correspondence and oral presentations. Experience leading or mentoring other employees.
