You will serve as a Management Analyst in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will serve as the Departmental Travel and Special Projects coordinator.
You will provide recommendations designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness of programs.
You will assist with the development of statistical and narrative data to justify work unit reorganization or position restructuring as a more productive or efficient use of personnel resources.
You will coordinate departmental travel orders and assist all departmental travels with travel orders.
You will serve as the Department's primary action officer on administrative duties such as report consolidation, budget management, and quality control of completed work products.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: possessing knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations, organizational structure, and workforce utilization. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Providing specialized administrative, workforce management support to a department by planning, initiating, analyzing, and supporting individual projects and processes; 2) Analyzing organization structure and workforce utilization, and conducts studies on procedural and relationship aspects of the organization; 3) Initiating of requests for personnel actions, coordinating merit promotions for department vacancies and development of position descriptions, maintaining employees' records and performance appraisal programs; 4) Monitoring, gathering data and preparing reports on staffing, manpower issues, organizational charts indicating status of civilian employees, vacancies and other management issues.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
