Provide support to the Audiology and Speech Pathology Service Office of the Chief Supervisory staff specifically at the Lake Baldwin Outpatient Clinic and as required the Tavares Community Based Outpatient Clinic.

Duties

Major duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for receipt and distribution of all mail and correspondence for the service ensuring items requiring follow up or actions are appropriately presented for completion. Inputting data from customer satisfaction surveys into ROES audiology system. Responsible for the timekeeping duties for the audiology and speech department, ensuring the updating of staff leave request calendar and notifying respective supervisor of potential staffing conflicts. Support the Service's leadership team as requested for strategic planning, budgetary support data collection, and performance improvement projects. Assist in scheduling meetings or interviews as directed. Track work orders to ensure timely completion. Maintain the procurement/purchasing records and reports. Answer incoming telephone calls and has the authority to provide general information to callers on routine clinic issues. Receive, assign, and monitor externally and internally generated correspondence and inquiries for review by immediate Supervisor. Obtain and monitor the use of services, supplies, and equipment. Procure, authorize, control, and justify a variety of general support services such as office supply stock levels and office equipment. Work Schedule: M-F 8 am-4:30 pm Telework: Not telework eligible. Virtual: This is not a virtual position. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 02/02/2024. This position requires typing 40 words per minute. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-05 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-04. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-4) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience or general experience would typically include, but are not limited to: receiving and distributing mail and correspondence; inputting data; timekeeping; updating staff leave calendars; assisting with reports or tracking tools; assisting in scheduling meetings or interviews; tracking work orders; answering telephone calls; obtaining and monitoring the use of services, supplies, and equipment. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have education equivalent to 4 years above high school. NOTE: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. OR, Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year). Physical Requirements: The position is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; or driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
