About the Position: This position reports to the Director, Ordnance Training Division (OTD). The Director assigns broad objectives and programs to be implemented, relying on the incumbent to exercise independent judgment to plan, organize, direct and manage assigned functions.

Duties

Provides expertise in the planning, development, and evaluations of education programs/projects/activities. Provides oversight and management for mandatory training programs for staff at all levels of the organization. Provides technical assistance to those who are developing instructional training materials for targeted audiences. Serves as subject matter expert (SME) to users, instructors, Directors and developers of training materials. Provides oversight and management of new technology integration and equipment readiness.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
