About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Al. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.
Duties
Direct training principles, techniques and practices of armor and infantry methodology and the armor and infantry programs.
Provides guidance to and monitors organizational elements on new and revised training programs.
Forecasts training requirements and milestone dates.
Identifies potential problems and provides recommended solutions to responsible supervisors and action officers.
Oversees the equipment, training and asset resourcing requirements in support of six programs of instruction and supervises a staff comprised of civilian and military employees.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Incumbent is required to travel TDY up to 25%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing actions relating to planning, programming, and scheduling of training executed by the Academy and provide military training and evaluation methods and techniques using the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) process.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
