About the Position: The position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Ft. Benning, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available. Position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905.

Duties

Conduct studies involving all aspects of training to predict and evaluate student achievement and recommend academic and non-academic improvements to the training. Ensure that the job or task analysis upon which courses or product requirements are based is still valid and accurate Analyze the effects of change on training requirements. Evaluate performance of course graduates to identify the degree to which their training satisfies the requirements of their corps or MOS. Coordinate with other TRADOC centers of excellence and service schools and civilian institutions (i.e., universities and professional organizations) to keep abreast of advances in training and evaluation

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • Pre-appointment medical examination/physical is required.
  • Work involves physical activity such as prolonged standing while observing instruction/ training, extended walking over varying terrain in all climatic conditions,
  • periods of time. Work requires extensive reading, writing and cognitive skills.
  • This position requires the employee to travel away from the normal duty station on a frequent basis up to 30% of the time. Flight in Army aircraft is a requirement of this position.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Instructional Delivery and Learner DevelopmentLearning and Program EvaluationTraining and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
