About the Position: This position is located with the G1 Deputy Chief of Staff, Human Resources Management, Military Personnel Division, Rock Island IL.

Duties

Manages a full service military personnel division through subordinate leaders. Formulates planning strategies to provide multi-compo (Active and Reserve Component) support to operational requirements. Manages the timely submission of senior officer and non-commissioned officer evaluations across the Command. Serves as the primary advisor to senior leadership on military personnel programs and policies. Formulates plans, policies and procedures to advise senior leaders on Military personnel programs, such as IPPS-A, MER/EMC cycles. Provides advice and assistance on the interpretation and application of directives and policy statements having indirect impact. Provides procedural and policy guidance to subordinate units/personnel. Manages Officer Evaluation Reports/profile for ASC Commanding General.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier3 Secret Security Clearance.
  • Temporary duty travel of approximately 10% may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipManages and Organizes InformationManaging Human Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
