Duties
Serves as a technical analyst responsible for planning DLAs implementation of USCC (US Cyber Command) directives.
Responds to USCC directives by collaborating with J6 service areas and other DLA and Department of Defense (DoD) organizations.
Participates in review and evaluation of technology standards and standard processes proposed by USCC.
Assists technical expert for IA assessments in the planning and conduct of periodic enterprise level reviews and assessments of DLA networks, systems, and procedures.
Analyzes data captured by intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and other sensors, to identify, categorize, assess, report, and respond to security incidents.
Prepares and distributes incident reports and presentations

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Investigates / participates in the investigation of technological developments in information assurance and infrastructure protection for potential incorporation into the DLA technical architecture.
Writes and/or edits and disseminates results of analyses, investigations, prototypes, and demonstrations.
Assists in activities intended to resolve or mitigate damage associated with security incidents.
Acts to maintain and/or restore operations, while at the same time safeguarding evidence for possible use in criminal or administrative actions.
Utilizes Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networking practices.
Improves system and network security through insertion of advanced mechanisms/products such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems.
Develops plans, estimates resource requirements, and defines milestones and deliverables.
