About the Position: Serves as the United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) subject matter expert for all technical and functional issues related to the Centralized Credentialing Quality Assurance System (JCCQAS) version 2.14, in support of the Medical Force.
Duties
Safeguards electronic practitioner credentials files.
Independently analyzes and reviews procedures and controls for controlling and managing files, directives, forms, records and office automation.
Advises and assists credentials managers and supervisors throughout the entire Medical Force on all issues related to the electronic credential file.
Serves as the technical/clinical expert for provider adverse action and adverse event management for Health Risk Management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Tier 1 background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) of up to 25% of the time is required.
- Immunization screening may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) developing guidance or techniques for clinical competence improvement, analyzing and advising on proposed new directives; 2) ensure the legal process for all clinical adverse actions and health risk management event meet legal review applying the guidance as outlined in order to ensure due process is afforded; 3) recognize problems and/or issues in order to make substantial recommendations to the appropriate offices in the area of credentialing/privileging; 4) remain current and cognizant of changes to regulations and policies in order to analyze, interpret and make recommendations about changing practice or policy; 5) have experience working with a credentialing system similar to JCCQAS; AND 6) administrative oversight and coordination required to facilitate the accomplishment of the quality assurance, risk management and credentials activities management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
