About the Position: Serves as the United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) subject matter expert for all technical and functional issues related to the Centralized Credentialing Quality Assurance System (JCCQAS) version 2.14, in support of the Medical Force.

Duties

Safeguards electronic practitioner credentials files. Independently analyzes and reviews procedures and controls for controlling and managing files, directives, forms, records and office automation. Advises and assists credentials managers and supervisors throughout the entire Medical Force on all issues related to the electronic credential file. Serves as the technical/clinical expert for provider adverse action and adverse event management for Health Risk Management.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) of up to 25% of the time is required.
  • Immunization screening may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) developing guidance or techniques for clinical competence improvement, analyzing and advising on proposed new directives; 2) ensure the legal process for all clinical adverse actions and health risk management event meet legal review applying the guidance as outlined in order to ensure due process is afforded; 3) recognize problems and/or issues in order to make substantial recommendations to the appropriate offices in the area of credentialing/privileging; 4) remain current and cognizant of changes to regulations and policies in order to analyze, interpret and make recommendations about changing practice or policy; 5) have experience working with a credentialing system similar to JCCQAS; AND 6) administrative oversight and coordination required to facilitate the accomplishment of the quality assurance, risk management and credentials activities management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsManages and Organizes InformationWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
