About the Position: Serves as a Readiness Branch Chief in the Readiness Division at HQ IMCOM, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Provide assistance, advice and analysis for planning and executing Army Strategic Readiness, Army Campaign Plan and Army Total Force Policy support, contingency support activities, and base support operations to higher echelons.
Responsible for planning, developing, and administering Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Army Total Force Policy and Army Campaign Plan support requirements with emphasis on mobilization, deployment, redeployment and demobilization.
Develop, coordinate, and implement necessary actions, regulations, research, analysis and policies for the Readiness Division and develops methodology, programs and directives to support IMCOM directorates and garrisons.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) business travel up to 20% of the time.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes planning, developing and administering Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Army Total Force Policy and Army Campaign Plan support requirements for mobilization, deployment, redeployment and demobilization. Effective use of an enduring operating concept for mobilization, deployments, redeployments and demobilization; to include organizational roles and responsibilities, establishment of effective command and support relationships, standardization of procedures, and baseline revision of appropriate regulations and guidance.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
