This position is located at the United States Mint in Washington, DC as part of the Executive Secretariat and Information Management Branch. As a Records Information and Management Specialist, you will serve as the subject matter expert for electronic and paper-based record keeping as the Records Officer for the United States Mint
Duties
As a Records Information and Management Specialist, you will:
Review, assess and participate in the selection and implementation of an enterprise-wide electronic document and records management system with imaging capability
Advise officials on records management requirements that are associated with the implementation of electronic record keeping systems that include business rules, taxonomies and governance
Develop and or analyze system documentation and other background materials to assess readiness and justify requirements for electronic record keeping systems
Be responsible for the United States Mint Records and Information Management (RIM) Program, Forms Management Program, and RIM Training Program
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience at the GS-14 level is one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
- Experience providing technical guidance on Records and Information Management policies, regulations, and procedures; AND
- Experience leading projects and work groups to improve compliance with Records and Information Management requirements; AND
- Experience developing standards and controls for IT improvements within the organization to ensure the electronic records mission is met; AND
- Experience researching and evaluating guidelines and regulations to make recommendations for changes to Records Management processes and procedures.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
