You will serve as a Senior Intelligence Specialist in the Data-Exploitation Branch of NAVAL INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will serve as a Senior Intelligence Specialist within the Research and Development Support Activity (RDSA). Specifically, you will serve as Lead for the Mission Development and Training Group at the MPAC.
You will perform analysis and production tasks relative to operations in order to effectively inform the planning and requirements process for projects that support maritime intelligence capabilities.
You will provide, develop and train MPAC analysts with technical methodologies to support specialized research pertinent to the MPAC.
You will identify intelligence gaps and recommend specific collection capabilities to address closing those gaps over course of one-two year plans in this area.
You will facilitate, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Navy and IC contacts in order to facilitate effective and successful collection opportunities.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This position may require a 2-year trial period.
- This position requires periodic polygraph examinations.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing intelligence analysis and production related to pre-mission, post-mission and special intelligence collection operations concerning the performance of highly technical special Navy collection sensor systems; 2) Producing a variety of written and oral products for a diverse audience that includes US federal, military, Intelligence Community and private industry personnel; and, 3) Initiating and maintaining liaison with high-level intelligence professionals from the US military, Intelligence Community, and private industry to discuss mutual intelligence problems, issues and production efforts.
