This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DOD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is located with the US Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Fort Sill, OK
Duties
Perform analysis of costs or audit readiness controls by applying generally accepted financial management principles, practices and functions.
Compile, consolidate, review and analyze budget and payroll estimates for TDA authorizations.
Serve as a financial consultant to manage various budget/financial issues.
Plan work to be accomplished by resource management analysts and supporting personnel, setting priorities and scheduling completion.
Interpret budgetary policies, guidance, and procedures issued by higher headquarters.
Develop and issue local guidance/procedural instructions and provides advice to managers during the formulation of the annual budget estimates for the budget year and out-years.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Temporary duty travel of 10% may be required.
- Financial Disclosure Form OGE 450 must be submitted upon appointment and annually thereafter.
- This is a Level 2 Certified position designated. Incumbent of this position must meet certification requirements in accordance with Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) formulating, justifying and executing the budget for assigned program area; 2) interpreting and applying laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific financial issues and 3) utilizing a variety of cost estimating/cost analysis/financial analysis techniques to develop and provide recommendations for alternative courses of action. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
