The selectee of this position serves as a Management and Program Analyst responsible for acting as an authoritative consultant on strategic planning; policy and procedure development, providing technically sound advice and recommendations on Asset Forfeiture related matters; analyzing Asset Forfeiture Program issues/problems, identifying and administering findings and recommendations, and conducts training needs analysis.
This position is located in the Asset Forfeiture Division/Arlington, VA.
Duties
As a Management and Program Analyst at the GS-0343-12 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Initiating and administering oversight of comprehensive analytical studies/evaluations of Asset Forfeiture program areas;
Gathering, analyzing, and evaluating facts and data; drawing appropriate conclusions; and developing solutions for issues/problems;
Facilitating and administering analysis of existing Asset Forfeiture Program procedures to identify more efficient and innovative methods for accomplishing program objectives, pursuant to statute, Departmental, and USMS policy;
Providing expertise and counsel on proposed USMS and Department of Justice policies, procedures, etc. to ensure consistency with existing program guidelines and objectives, and to assess the impact on USMS Asset Forfeiture Program initiatives; and
Participating in high level management meetings as an authoritative representative of Asset Forfeiture management regarding problem areas, analytical results, etc.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Advising management and personnel on asset forfeiture program matters;
Reviewing proposed policies and procedures to provide guidance on their potential impact to the Asset Forfeiture Program;
Reviewing an asset forfeiture program by assisting with analytical studies and/or evaluations; and
Assisting in the development of potential solutions to correct deficiencies in an asset forfeiture program area.
