About the Position: Serve as the technical advisor to the Chief, HR and Administrative Branch, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9 Management Support Division. Responsible for the management and administration of all aspects of military personnel functions, providing guidance and assistance on matters to directorates/divisions.
Duties
Serve as an advisor to the Director, Management Support Directorate, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9 (ODCS, G-9).
Responsible for the management of all aspects of military personnel functions such as providing guidance and assistance on these matters to directorates/divisions.
Coordinate officer and enlisted personnel requests based on practical knowledge of evaluation techniques and regulatory control.
Responsible for implementing Department of Army and Command policy for the preparation and submission of Officer Evaluation Report (OERS) and Non-Commissioned Officer Evaluation Report (NCOERs).
Implement the G-9 Newcomers' Orientation Program ensuring newcomers' orientation briefings are scheduled for newly assigned personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain secret clearance.
- Position requires TDY up to 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance on military personnel policies, practices and/or regulations; providing clear and concise written communication on all aspects of military personnel functions; assisting with military personnel administration issues to conduct day-to-day program management; and utilizing the Integrated Personnel and Pay System to resolve problems and/or provide guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
